Frequently Asked Questions
Please email us if your question is not on this list.

Are you a Registered Charity? Yes we are registered in Western Australia as an incorporated association.  We have a current charity collection licence.

Where are you located? Our team are in Perth, Western Australia.  We have partner churches in metro Manila, Cabugan in the northern Philippines and Tagbilaran in the southern Philippines.

What is your ABN?  Our ABN is 65 336 600 687.

Do you sell christmas cards or other blank cards?  Sumapi sell a range of blank cards.  Click here to see our range.

You have two ministries in the Philippines, what is the difference between Sumapi and Manila Missions? Sumapi look after widows and children and are what we call the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff when children are in trouble.  Manila Missions work in different parts of the Philippines and are the ambulance at the top of the cliff.  We provide livelihood business startup help so that the family can then provide for themselves.  We distribute clothing to the poor, computers to students, teachers, schools etc.

How can I help your ministry? There are lots of ways.  Organising a fundraiser for us, donating summer clothing or other goods on our list, sponsoring a new livelihood business, donating any amount of cash, doing research for us on grants and applications, helping sort clothing donations, visit our orphanage in the northern Philippines and immerse yourself in the culture.

Will you pick up our donations if we live in Perth? Yes, please email us to organise a time for the pickup, usually evenings or weekends are best.

Can we get a copy of your Annual Report? As soon as our Annual Report is fully signed a copy will be available on our website.  Check out our "resources" tab to find last years report.

Why the Philippines and why do you do what you do? We follow our heart and go where we are called to go.  Both couples that run the ministries have a heart specifically for the Philippines.

How many livelihood businesses have you helped start? So far we have a number of hairclip and jewellery making businesses in different parts of metro Manila.  We also have helped families start around 20 other livelihood businesses in the Philippines.

How much of your donations go to administration costs?  There are no paid workers, we are all volunteers.  We have minimal administration costs so a very small amount.
